Noble Energy, Inc. Workover Superintendent in Pecos, Texas

The Workover Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day activities involving workover rigs and completion operations. This position manages all Workover Supervisors as well as contractors. The Workover Superintendent will also work closely with other departments (e.g. EH&S;, Regulatory) as they coordinate all aspects of the projects.

Detailed Description

  • Responsible for managing Workover Foreman in day-to-day operations and providing direction for all Completion type capital and LOE projects, including refracs, trifracs, recompletions, deepenings, P&As;, maintenance and casing repairs etc.

  • Communicates daily with Workover Foreman to discuss procedures and problems with projects.

  • Assures that workover procedures are being followed and that qualified vendors’ services are being used for perforating, cementing, hydrotesting, fishing tools, water deliveries, etc.

  • Helps manage and oversee workover rig audit program with Safety department.

  • Supervises rigs when coverage is compromised due to vacation and sick days.

  • Reviews workover procedures developed by Engineers, Completions Manager and Production Techs to ensure accuracy.

  • Reviews well files and recommends solutions to downhole problems identified.

  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, environmental laws, safety standards and company policies.

  • Performs related duties as requested.

  • Manages projects to ensure they are executed within budget.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, preferred.

  • Typically requires 10 years of experience in Completions/Production operations, preferred.
