Provides technical expertise in all facets of production. Supervises production operations, optimization, maintenance and daily work activities to ensure that facilities are run in a safe and cost effective manner, while complying with company and governmental rules and regulations. Responsible for operations, maintenance, and integrity of infrastructure.
Monitors daily platform production activities.
Operates and troubleshoots offshore production facility equipment and wells, according to established safety rules and regulations.
Performs complex preventative maintenance and repairs on facility and production equipment.
Supervises and develops local staff’s operating competency through technical and OTJ training and mentoring
Supervises work done by third parties.
Maintains record keeping and regulatory reporting of production activities.
Monitors and maintains subsea chemical treating. Identifies problem areas and helps develop solutions. Maintains corrosion mitigation programs.
Reviews flow conditions and rates of wells and makes recommendations.
Oversees testing and maintenance of production and safety equipment to ensure compliance with company and governmental rules and regulations
Oversees complex facility and system startups according to field operating manuals.
Assists with logistical operations involving the transportation of personnel, equipment and supplies.
Proactive leader in EHS, setting the right culture for the Operations team
Plans and executes work over a 2 week horizon
High School Diploma or equivalent
Typically requires 6 years of experience working in the petroleum field.
Remote locations rotational assignment including regular travel to platform facilities. Work may involve moderate to heavy physical activity and exposure to outside weather conditions.
