Noble Midstream Partners is a growth-oriented master limited partnership formed by Noble Energy to own, operate, develop and acquire midstream infrastructure assets. Our assets reside in two of the most resilient oil basins in the United States: the DJ Basin in Colorado and the Delaware Basin in Texas. In these areas, we provide crude oil, natural gas and water-related midstream services for Noble Energy and third parties. This individual will provide project engineering and management for the evaluation, design, implementation, and execution of projects and post analysis of all phases of automation and controls projects within our Texas business unit. Collaborates with others to prepare and develop plans and cost estimates for exploratory and development projects. Manages economic status of projects. Evaluates bids and proposals for providing equipment and services. Coordinates activities of various contractors. Demonstrates EHS leadership in all aspects of project development. Provides project engineering support to other Noble Energy technical staff and departments as required.
Capable of leading departmental team focused on automation and control system design, implementation and support.
Develops and manages team objectives and priorities in support of project and operational support needs.
Frequently interacts with varied project and operational disciplines in order to ensure that the automation and controls team priorities are properly aligned with overall goals and strategies.
Provides guidance and performance management to team members.
Capable of providing operational reports related to automation and control activities and initiatives as required.
Participates in budgetary processes and continually manages budget for the group
Continually provides feedback and recommendations to organization management regarding effective automation and control applicability.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of applicability.
Typically requires a minimum of eight years in automation and control system design, implementation and leadership
Experience with Primavera P3 software, P3 e/c, or Microsoft Project is preferred.
Experience with midstream oil and gas automation and control system projects preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of the design and functionality of industrial control systems and the applicability of such to oil & gas midstream operational systems.
Demonstrated working understanding of the interrelationships between automation and controls, mechanical systems, SCADA, measurement, midstream control center operations and informational management.
Working understanding of applicable industry and regulatory compliance requirements associated with industrial automation and control systems.
Normal office environment
25% field travel expected, dependent upon project and operational support activity levels
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
